Building a Wholesome Family in a Broken World, with Archduke Eduard von Habsburg

Wednesday, September 24, 2025 @ 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm

The International Institute for Culture welcomes Archduke Eduard von Habsburg, Ambassador of Hungary to the Holy See and member of the historic Habsburg family, for an evening on Catholic culture. Drawing from his experience as a diplomat, writer, and representative of one of Europe’s most enduring dynasties, he will reflect on the role of faith in shaping culture and society.

Eduard von Habsburg has served as Hungary’s Ambassador to the Holy See and the Sovereign Order of Malta since 2015. A philosopher by training, he also worked in film and television and is the author of several books, most recently Building a Wholesome Family in a Broken World (Sophia Institute Press, 2024). In this work he addresses one of the most urgent questions of our time: how to raise and sustain strong Catholic families in the midst of a fractured and challenging culture. Drawing on the wisdom of the Church, his Habsburg heritage, and practical experience as a husband and father of six, he shows how families can be places of stability, hope, and holiness in an often unstable world.

As a descendant of the Habsburg dynasty, he brings both a personal and historical perspective to questions of Europe, Catholicism, and culture. He is also widely followed on social media, where he shares engaging commentary on faith, family, and history.

Join us at Ivy Hall for this special opportunity to hear his perspective and engage with questions of Catholic identity and cultural renewal.

Reception to follow.
