LITTLE SISTERS OF THE POOR

TIME:

May 20, 2022    6:30 PM

EVENT DESCRIPTION:

Join us in receiving the Little Sisters of the Poor Friday evening, May 20 at Ivy Hall at 6:30 p.m. These courageous women toil in one of the worst neighborhoods in Philadelphia to bring care and comfort to the elderly poor. These are selfless women who have given their lives to helping others. We invite all committed Catholics who would be willing and able to attend the meeting and show solidarity with these women.

These are also the same Sisters who refused to bow to intimidation and threats from the federal government when they were ordered to violate their moral convictions or pay staggering fines.

The Sisters need to raise $45 million to repair and build a new facility for their residents in south Philadelphia that will serve our community for decades to come. They want share information about their beautiful ministry and to make their case to anyone who may be able to help them with financial support and prayers. If you can attend, PLEASE RSVP to kvisco@TheCFGP.org or drjohnhaas@aol.com no later than end of day Saturday, May 14, so we can provide numbers for the caterers and have a wonderful turnout for the Sisters!
