Dear Friends of Ivy Hall,
 
Many of you are aware of the untimely death of Stephen Cordova on July 10^th.  Stephen moved from San Francisco three years ago to work with us at Ivy Hall in our mission of evangelizing culture.  He had taught Latin during the summer for us for a number of years and then began teaching weekly classes and holding lectures on medieval studies, including Dante’s Divine Comedy and the lives of Franciscan saints.  He was always gracious, erudite and witty and is missed terribly by all who knew him. Stephen also taught Latin at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary.
 
An extraordinary-form Requiem Mass will be offered for the repose of Stephen’s soul on Saturday, August 29^th at Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 10:30 in the morning.  Father Dennis Carbonaro, spiritual director at the seminary, will be the celebrant of the Solemn High Mass and Father Timothy Danaher, a Dominican priest who was a friend of Stephen’s, will preach the homily.  A reception will be held at Ivy Hall immediately following the mass.

The mass will be live-streamed so we hope you can attend in person or virtually to celebrate the life of Stephen. Of your charity, pray for the repose of his soul.  Requiescat in pacem.
