POSTPONED: THE SARUM RITE AND WORSHIP IN THE MEDIEVAL ENGLISH CHURCH

EVENT DESCRIPTION:
 
James T.M. Griffin, director of the new Durandus Institute for Sacred Liturgy & Music, gives a presentation on the worship life of Christians during the Middle Ages in England. He gives special attention to the Use of Sarum: the localized form of the Roman Rite used in much of England until the time of the Reformation. 
 
Mr. Griffin will share photos and video clips from the historic Sarum Vespers celebrated in Philadelphia this past Candlemas, as well as live renditions of some of the sacred music used for this event.
